If the primary joke of USG is the first letter of that acronym is a statement of fact rather than a boast, she needs a steady stream of odd and powerful foes to face off against. Seen in this light, that she ends up fighting against Girl Squirrel while her roommate brings Bluetooth to Asgard makes sense in context. Volume Two can't replicate the shock to the system that was Volume One, but I'm fine with more of the same when the writing is this tight and witty. Volume Two is a low-stakes affair; good thing it is a comedy.
