Street Fighter 6 (PS5 version, platinum trophy obtained for review)

Art is not a science, but if I had to break down the formula for a successful fighting game, it would be that it is either buckets of fun (forget balance; sometimes it is more fun to break your toys than play with them) or balanced enough so most of the match results unquestionably reflect the respective skill of the players. SF6 leans hard on the second notion, so while it comes nowhere close to the demented beauty of USF4, it is a better competitive game than SFV. Then again, my left toe is a better competitive game than SFV.
