Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Act Two) (review contains no spoilers)

As the balance of the game flips, to the point where boss encounters rarely last past three whole turns, the mind wanders to attempting to figure out which of one’s brewing theories is the best and which is the most likely the game will pursue. Fortunately, the game does wonderfully with finally connecting the dots in a satisfying manner, settling on an answer that is complicated but could still be spelled out on a napkin. I didn’t react as strongly to these revelations as I did to the first act’s bombshells, but this is the more technically impressive high-wire act.
