The Last of Us (Infected)

“Where does a man go when there are no more corners to turn, when he's running out of hope, out of luck, out of time?” -Doug Stanton, “In Harm’s Way”

The pilot rewrote much of the first hour of the game to better suit television, but besides the cold open that expands on the background of the virus, “Infected” is basically the second hour put to screen, minus a frustrating combat encounter or two. It’s rudimentary in this regard and perhaps my underwhelmed reaction is dulled due to my familiarity with the source material, but this was still effective television.
