The Last of Us (Long, Long Time)

“I'm pacing inside this empty room / Told to wait until my life's withdrawn / Uneasy, I'm waiting here anxiously / It's a waste and I won't wait another eon” -Celldweller, “Eon”

The dirty little secret about “The Last of Us” is that, for being a third-person stealth-oriented shooter, the central messaging is about, for however we want to wire ourselves, we desire connection and lean towards empathy, and what better time to show that in the show than by vastly changing one of the more ludicrous sequences into something like “Amour” meets “Stalker”. Let the homophobes weep, buncha dirtbags.
