The Expanse (Critical Mass)

While crucial to the overall narrative of this season, ramping things up towards what’s sure to be a rip-roaring and emotionally engaging climax, it feels difficult to judge this episode on its own. It feels like half an episode with so many plot threads advanced but hardly concluded or otherwise wrapped up in a way so much other serial fiction, including past episodes of “The Expanse”, effortlessly manage. Those who consistently binge television without stopping to reflect on what they watch and sort out their feelings towards it likely don’t have these problems. I don’t know how they manage it.
