The Deed: Dynasty
The first game had a premise tailored towards audacious comedy and cashed in almost none of it; a game that gives its own reward for pinning a murder on a butler shouldn’t be as strait-laced as it was. “Dynasty”, meanwhile, lets you pin a murder on a child, get away with murder after confessing, and let me kill an abusive husband with a snake, so I’d say it is closer to realizing its potential. It also features protagonists with truly sympathetic motivations and a cast of people who aren’t all assholes, simple additions that also elevate the material. Solid stuff.
