Players (Creamcheese)

It seems some video gamers don’t get the joke at the center of “Players”—little surprise, of course, to anyone who has ever talked to a gamer. Those familiar with sports documentaries will get more out of this as they’ll better recognize what’s being distorted and subverted for comic effect, and while it is too early to suppose this will match the surprising dramatic twists of “American Vandal”, there’s enough here to suggest “Players” could serve as a proper spiritual third season of AV. This felt a little long for what it was, but I’ll be sticking with this one.
