Making Them’s Fightin’ Herds: The Story of Mane6

The story of how one of the most refreshing titles of 2020 started off as a “My Little Pony”-themed fan project that transformed several times over the course of the past decade deserves to be told in a better format than this. It’s fine as a piece of advertisement, but at forty minutes and mostly consisting of interviews with the tight-lipped crew behind it (one member’s staph infection during development is only briefly touched upon), there isn’t much here you couldn’t get from the game’s Wikipedia page. It’s not bad, but it’s not as wild as the elevator pitch reads.
