Jinder Mahal vs. Seth Rollins to determine the inaugural NXT Champion, from the August 29, 2012 episode of NXT

A perfectly functional match that doesn’t offend the senses, which could be seen as a small victory at just that much. One is a heavily celebrated indie wrestler, the other is Jinder Mahal, and there’s little reason to believe the winner will be anyone besides the obvious. It’s a logical encounter, there are no botches, all of the moves make sense, and the finish is a crowdpleaser, but that’s about it. I’m not saying this match was bad, but I’m also not saying this match was good. Its historical purpose is pretty much the only reason to seek this out.
