I suspect much, if not most, of the praise heaped at this brief game comes from fans of Klubnika’s previous “Buckshot Roulette” and the memetic and ludicrous fan efforts to make it seem more than a novelty. That said, it works better for “Roulette”, which didn’t hit you over the head with its worldbuilding and had something appreciable besides fuel to make MatPat return to YouTube. Once the big twist of “240” is done (which happens in the first minute), you may as well turn off the game because you will correctly guess everything that happens afterwards. Stupid and boring.
