Invincible (Neil Armstrong, Eat Your Heart Out)

This is an odd one to judge. On the surface, it contains a lot of elements I praised the previous episode for, such as consistent theming (“the dangers of discovery” this time around) and moving at a decent pace, but the whole thing feels like the sort of episode written to “set up things down the line”, which is (usually) French for “this stuff is boring but the fans pretend it is immensely interesting”. At eight episodes, this season doesn’t have the real estate for this sort of table-setting and the pace it cuts should render such efforts redundant, anyway.
