If the entire discussion of online multiplayer games has revolved (or should have revolved) around how to deal with GamerGaters and other folk who hate art, and the best solution we’ve found is to get matches over and done with as quickly as possible, and SFV thus represented the nadir of fighting games due to the surprising myriad of keepaway Zangiefs(!), Strive is the new rock-bottom, proving no lessons were learned. There are some cool systems, but FogDucker69 will walk backwards with his combo-oriented character and punish you for trying to have fun. I was sick of this in 2016.
