Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed

This is a weird sort of continuation, where it leans heavily on the audience not only knowing but caring about what happened in the first film while having enough of a different tone for it to be its own project. “2”, save some intermittent gags, sends out the clowns and the extended puberty allegory and brings in a whole lot of allegory about addiction and mental health, and while it’s not as affecting as the first installment, it’s probably more twisted in most regards, from the better-realized violence to messed-up conclusion. If you loved the first, you’ll like the second.
