“Eggshells: Pro Wrestling In the Tokyo Dome” by Chris Charlton

Filtering the history of Japanese wrestling through rundowns of every puroresu show held in the Tokyo Dome through Wrestle Kingdom 12 has many wonderful accidents in storytelling, from chronicling the few times AJPW and NOAH were financially viable enough to run the famed venue to most of “Eggshells” serving as a soft biography of the history of New Japan Pro Wrestling (the only wrestling company, outside of one gag DDT show, to run the house the past ten years). I ate this up, of course, but there’s still plenty of wonderful tall tales here for those looking for great stories.
