Children of Men (2006 film)

"Apocalypse does not point to a fiery Armageddon but to the fact that our ignorance and our complacency are coming to an end." -Joseph Campbell, "Thou Art That"

One would have to stretch to find flaws in "Children of Men". It's perhaps too effective a prediction of where the future of the world would go; one can't look at the anti-immigrant measures put in place in the film's fictional Great Britain today the same way they could in 2006. "Men", though, feeds on that sort of closeness, forcing you to feel every step of its odyssey. Perhaps Cuaron's best work.
