Andor (Kassa)

The idea of a prequel series to the worst Star Wars film of the past decade has all the inherent appeal of a “Schitt’s Creek” and “Abbott Elementary” crossover, which is why I stayed away from it when it came out. I’ve since given it a chance, though, and while its pilot is unfocused and the flashbacks felt like the scraps of a Malick project that fell through, its brooding tones and dedication to celebrating the janky side of the franchise renders it intriguing and interesting, and also good. In the words of Jyn Erso, “hope hope hope hope hope”.
