The Immortal (Switch version, basically the NES port)

The Genesis version of "The Immortal" has the historical distinction of being the subject of the first Let's Play in video format. The NES version, meanwhile, has the historical distinction of being a massive pile of crap. Insta-kill traps are everywhere and often barely telegraphed, combat has the appearance of something meaningful but can be powered through with button mashing, and for as plainly linear as "The Immortal" is, it can be difficult to tell where you need to go. The only things keeping this version of "The Immortal" from getting an even lower score are its presentation and soundtrack.
