Toonstruck

Has there ever been such a divide between a game’s concept and execution? “Toonstruck” evokes the look of a Saturday morning cartoon, but the illusion dies anytime the game has to tell a joke, which is a problem because the game is a comedy. A good number of the jokes come from ugly places; a walking gay joke comes minutes before a character is straight-up referred to by the r-word. The puzzles suck, too, being more busywork than exhibited wit. I got this for free and I still want my money back. Maddening, pathetic, and an insult to its genre.
