The Expanse (Dulcinea)

If you’re too smart for your own good, you can spot the corners being cut or where the show would’ve looked better if it aired on a channel with deeper pockets (fun fact: darkness hides imperfections in images, which is why so much television requires the curtains to be drawn). That said, “The Expanse” starts off on a high note, dripping with atmosphere and mystery and feeling purposeful with every moment, and I’d hate having to wait another week after this aired to see the next chapter, especially given the shocking ending. Recommended to all, even folks weary of Sci-Fi.
