Noelle (2019 film)

Oh, the glurge, how it burns. “Noelle” shows off enough production value that it could have comfortably ran in theaters (thanks in no small part to the Mickey Mouse money and USING THE CINEMATOGRAPHER OF “TITANIC” THAT’S NOT A JOKE WHAT THE HELL), but it’s all in service of a predictable story that never gets out of third gear, and the film’s idea of a good running gag is “LOL kids like iPads”. “Noelle” would be intolerable without Anna Kendrick putting the movie on her back and lifting it from “stupid and forgettable” to “basically fine”, so cheers to that.
