Necro Butcher vs. Samoa Joe, from IWA Mid-South Something to Prove (revisited)

"Somebody's gonna DIE!" -CM Punk, his voice rich with bountiful glee

My first assessment of this match saw me concentrate on the ethics of it all, how Butcher's reckless bumps and Joe's use of chairshots are not things I actively seek out in wrestling. This time around, I ignored all of that and watched it for its pure entertainment value, and well, if your perception of indie wrestling is that it can't hope to emulate the big-fight feel of major wrestling federations, here's about as strong of a counterpoint to that view as you're going to find. Brutal but masterful.
