Ms. Marvel (Seeing Red)

I suspect the ending of this episode is going to dominate the conversation surrounding both this episode and the show in general, and it will be very much earned—without getting into spoilers, it is the most emotionally resonant moment of the show so far and this material couldn’t be explored with any other superhero. The rest of the episode, however, was plenty satisfying, hitting the beat of a family trip on this coming-of-age story well and hitting the “finally establishing the stakes of this superhero story” beat, to be kind, functionally. A strong close to this season’s second act.
