Ms. Marvel (No Normal)

As is fitting with Disney’s Marvel properties, “Ms. Marvel” discounts most of what defined it through most of its run and spends its final hour dedicated to light shows set to dramatic orchestration. This was better than many of them, thankfully, by utilizing imagery that has many analogies with real world tragedy that might be too real for some; no wonder this episode had a content warning. It’s still fun, still engaging, and overall a good way to spend an hour, but between the diminishing returns of the climax and the “big twist” that changes little, there’s room for improvement.
