Mega Man (PS4 version) (revisited)

First thought after touching this for the first time in three years: "oh, God, this feels like Mighty No. 9". Further inspection bears out this is nowhere on the level of that disaster, but they do share a common tone in that any part of quality game design that seeps through comes across as incidental or even accidental. Who wants to play Guts Man's stage ever again? No hands? That sounds about right. The moment that defines the game is the fight against the goopy monster, in which you hammer select so you can get it over with more quickly.
