Mario Kart Tour

Between outings on the Game Boy Advance, the DS, the 3DS, and the Switch, Nintendo have made several great mobile versions of “Mario Kart”, which begs the question of why this one is so bad. Greed accounts for some of it, but it’s a phone game put out by a major corporation, so I’m not disappointed progress and modes are blocked behind paywalls. More damning is that the game isn’t fun, with everything in the races feeling like it just barely works. There are plenty of racing games on phones that play better and ask far less of your wallet.
