Love On the Spectrum (Season One)

I feel as though, between the cloying soundtrack and producers asking the show’s few couples if they had “consummated their relationship” (seriously?!), I should be more offended by this than I am, but I’m just bored by it. “Spectrum” leans hard on capturing a sense of authenticity over aiming to be nakedly entertaining, an impossible task following “Terrace House”’s downside, so it’s hard to remain engaged with the material. There are some sweet moments and occasional amusing bits, but then again, I get the feeling I wasn’t supposed to laugh as hard as I was at the terrible relationship expert.
