Kurt Angle vs. Sting (Empty Arena), from the February 19, 2009 episode of TNA Impact

As an element in a storyline presented in an action show (Sting and Kurt Angle were having themselves a power struggle over control of a dominant faction), this was pretty alright. Watch it divorced from that context, though, and this is far worse than you’d think given the participants. The spot most representative of this company involved Angle taking an eight-foot fall in this match that no one cares about, with the spot lit poorly and the color commentator insisting it was a fifteen-foot fall. Also, there’s, like, no finish; they just agree to stop fighting for twelve seconds. Forgettable.
