Election (1999 film)

God, if only this film weren’t still relevant. Modern politics is a farce, and this dark comedy is reflective of that, populating its universe with shit people, some of whom have good intentions, some of whom are selfish bastards, and some are clueless fuckboys propped up out of fear of the former. It’s a compulsive watch, though, because everyone in front of the camera hits their jokes well, with Reese Witherspoon standing out by being both the best of the best and the worst of the worst. Those who don’t care much for darkness might flinch at this film. Whatever.
