Justice League Task Force

Good idea: making a fighting game using DC characters. Bad idea: making a fighting game using DC characters without putting anyone on the staff who has worked on fighting games before. Playing like an alpha build of “Eternal Champions”, “Justice League Task Force” is a mess, a game with no systems to master, no satisfying feedback, and presentation that would bore the target audience within half an hour. Released a year after the excellent “X-Men: Children of the Atom” hit arcades, this is one of the earliest examples of DC trying, and failing, to capture Marvel magic in other media.
