Jay White vs. Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship, from NJPW The New Beginning in Sapporo 2018 Night Two

I seem to be far more positive towards this match than most. The two quickly established a story of Kenny Omega gradually realizing Switchblade can take far more than he initially gave him credit for and his considerable hubris being his undoing throughout even as he resorts to attempted murder. It reeks a little of Omega wrestling a broomstick (if this were a script, half of Switchblade's stage directions would be "but then he gets up"), but if nothing else, this match proved Jay White can be carried to a pretty good match. Point added for the hot post-match angle.
