Tetris Effect: Connected

Can an appealing aesthetic elevate a work to something approaching greatness? I propose it can, if it is working in concert with resonant themes that are reinforced throughout, and "Tetris Effect: Connected" is so dedicated to conveying its joyous perception of connection, from its music to its levels to even the best parts of the multiplayer, that the whole thing feels far more than "Tetris but with pretty music and lovely visuals". I struggle to recall the last time a puzzle video game left me as awestruck as this; indeed, it might be the best of its kind to date.
