Fireball: Visitors from Darker Worlds

I maintain the best documentaries do not rely on one having an affinity or knowledge of the subject going in; I shouldn’t have to do homework or already like the subject to get something out of the experience. I guess it speaks to the strength of “Fireball”, then, that it kept me, someone with little interest in meteorites, engaged for its duration. Herzog spends the better part of ninety minutes gleefully telling you everything rad he knows about meteorites, getting smart characters to talk about meteorites, and showing craters set to gorgeous music. A heady project brimming with infectious enthusiasm.
