Dragon Buster 2: Yami no Fūin (version found in the Switch port of “Namco Museum Archives Volume Two” played for review)

“Dragon Buster” was a bad knockoff of the second Zelda game, but “Dragon Buster 2” is a substandard knockoff of the first Zelda game—what a world we live in. I say “substandard” instead of “bad” because, between its dorky fog of war and efficient visuals, there’s plenty of charm to this one, though one consequence of the protagonist using the bow as his weapon of choice is that he is constantly forced to run away from everything so he can safely shoot from a distance. I’ll be kind and say that’s intentional because, in canon, he’s a well-meaning dumbass.
