“Dig Dug II” is a game in which high level play involves frequently DESTROYING THE EARTH SO YOUR ENEMIES PLUNGE INTO THE SEA AND CRY OUT IN PAIN BEFORE WATER ENVELOPS THEIR LUNGS AND THEY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO ACCEPT THEIR FATE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN. It shouldn’t be as boring as it is, in other words, with this tactic frequently resulting in Dig Dug Man getting himself offed instead. You’re more likely to inflate your enemies until they explode, which you could do in “Dig Dug” anyway, which makes you wish you were playing that instead.
