Daniel Bryan / Bryan Danielson vs. Drew Gulak / Soldier Ant, from WWE Elimination Chamber 2020

This was every bit as great as I had hoped it would be. Bryan may be the most technically sound performer in WWE right now, but Gulak has plenty of tape on the guy and not only uses those resources to scout Bryan’s best offense but also dives deep to figure out ways that Bryan has lost that he hasn’t suffered in some time. The result is a cerebral and thrilling encounter that feels a third of its fifteen minutes and could very well end up being the best match WWE broadcasts all year. More of Gulak on PPV, please.
