Cube 2: Hypercube
The most painfully simplistic form of sequel, upping the numbers of its horrors and complicating its sciences despite the best parts of the original involving neither aspect. The personalities in this Nonary game are weak sauce; two fuck in the face of mortal danger because horror movie. A few deaths will unsettle in the same way a pop scare works these days, eliciting a jump followed by giggles. The ending makes more tonal sense than what the first film handed out, and I really can't deny the better cinematography and special effects, but this is otherwise a significant step backwards.
