Cube (1997 film)

A fine film that I like well enough, which is disappointing given that I love the setup—half a dozen people are placed in a deadly situation and have to work together to get out. I like the drama between the characters and how they bounce dumb theories off each other and quickly grow sick of each other’s attitudes. Less effective is the logic of the titular Cube, which runs on “because shut up”, and the characters are written dumb enough that one wonders if an even number is prime. Still an effective sprint, though I wouldn’t recommend rewatching it.
