Community (Remedial Chaos Theory)

Combining the tight wit of “30 Rock”, the calculated madness of “Arrested Development”, and the warmth of “Cheers”, “Remedial Chaos Theory” plays out like the best possible argument in favor of the American sitcom. Everything here is not only planting, payoff, or delicious non-sequitur, it also works to better convey the personalities than at least the first season of this show; I rewatched this episode with someone who had never seen a single episode and they had no problems latching onto these characters. The only modern sitcom episodes that (arguably) top this shoo out the clowns, which is almost cheating.
