Faced with a combative audience and less than fifteen minutes of TV time, these two men had to choose between busting their asses to get this match (and, by extension, the biggest storyline in the company) over or put on a plain match and save your strength for the upcoming house shows. They went with the latter, botching moves infrequently and trying to work to the next rest hold as soon as the last rest hold stops. This isn’t the worst match either man had by any stretch, but this was the worst time for either man to slack off.
