Bryan Danielson / Daniel Bryan vs. Daniel Garcia, from AEW Fight For the Fallen 2022

The difference between Danielson and so many cool wrestlers using fancy submission holds all the time is Danielson still opts to tell a story. Enforced early, and holding steady to the match’s conclusion, is Danielson’s likely dominance with a healthy head and body, but he’s not one hundred percent and Garcia knows that and works to frustrate as well as hurt Danielson, correctly surmising that a win over an unfocused Danielson, rather than an injured Danielson, is a much more feasible prospect. Time will tell if this is Garcia’s breakout performance, but AEW’s been great at the follow-up so far.
