Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack

It took the late Jonathan Demme personally championing "Bring It On" to the head of Universal to get it out of development hell. I keep coming back to that as I think about the franchise's latest DOA installment, in which Anonymous cheerleaders challenge the heroes of the story to a cheeroff (THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE PLOT). There are no good jokes, no chemistry, the characters are more apt to explain their thoughts and feelings than show them, heck, even the cheerleading is lame. What has God wrought onto this pathetic world of ours? An insult to filmmaking, cheerleading, and sanity.
