Booker T vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kane vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship (Elimination Chamber), from WWE Survivor Series 2002 (revisited)

The tendency of wrestling fans to view old wrestling with rose-tinted glasses means even Triple H’s Reign of Terror is held in a much more generous light than it deserves (go, me!). This is an indulgent, overly long match whose structure practically demands everyone gets a chance to shine but instead opts to put over Trips as a workhorse, complete with nine minutes passing between the final two falls. MSG, to their credit, greet all but the high spots and finish with a relatively downbeat reception. The considerable physicality means I can’t call this bad, but this wasn’t good, either.
