Black Mirror (Shut Up and Dance)

"Character, like a photograph, develops in darkness." -Yousuf Karsh

"Shut Up and Dance" shares many similarities with "White Bear", being a straightforward thriller with offscreen forces driving the actions and a resolution that gives needed clarity and context. I prefer "White Bear", though, in spite of "Dance" being far more successful in terms of writing, execution, and arguably concept, for the simple reason that it features a better ending. Put simply, "Dance" cops out hard with its final moments being soundtracked by a Radiohead song (from "OK Computer" at that). That's worth subtracting a whole point all by itself. C'mon.
