Better Things (Season Two) (revisited)

I had plenty of love to share about this season as it aired, but having now seen how it builds off the first season and experienced some life events that had me relating more to certain characters on the show, this worked even better on second viewing. Pamela Adlon, the show’s co-creator, co-writer, and star, went from directing three episodes in the first season to directing every episode of this season, and the uptick in the visuals department suggests Adlon could have a healthy career behind the camera if she desires. Family dramedies don’t get better than this on television.
