Better Things (Season One)

This is generally considered to be the worst season of “Better Things” to date, and while there’s enough flies in the ointment that I agree with the sentiment, most family dramedies would kill to achieve a level of quality this “bad” season reaches. The first three episodes are “merely” good while the rest oscillate between “very good” and “inspired”, with the latter term most easily used on Duke realizing she’s not much for organized religion and the montage set to Alice Cooper’s “Only Women Bleed” that concludes the season. I wish every show’s worst season was on par with this.
