Better Call Saul (Season One)

The proper saga of Jimmy McGill takes a few episodes to get its bearings and stop coasting on novelty. This could be taken as alarming if you interpret this as season seven of “Breaking Bad”, but for comparison, “Breaking Bad” didn’t find its sea legs until two episodes into the second season, so I’d say this spinoff is starting on a better foot. Jonathan Banks easily sealed an Emmy nomination for “Five-O” and I’d have not been mad if Michael McKean also got more love from the academies. I’ve heard it gets better from here, but this is plenty great.
