Bayonetta 2

The one area in which “Bayonetta 2” proves inferior to the first iteration is in how enjoyable the last boss is. In all other regards (and even in that case, the boss of the fourth chapter challenges the final boss of the first game in terms of scale and conveyed satisfaction), this is a far superior sequel, jettisoning the QTEs, tightening up the story, and giving the combat system a whole bunch of minor tweaks that add up to this being the new height in character action. Is this worth buying a Wii U to play? Yes. Yes, it is.
