Batman Forever (SNES version)

The infamous button-mapping is inexcusable, and the game could have done a far better job of informing the player of what is expected of them, but those are symptoms of a bigger problem. “Mortal Kombat” controls emulate a certain style of cinematic movement that flies directly in the face of how Batman moves, fights, and otherwise operates. This doesn’t feel like a Batman title, and ironing out the flaws wouldn’t change that. I don’t mind that this was a cheap cash grab (it wasn’t the first or last of its kind), I hate that it is so transparent about it.
