Batman: Arkham City (Xbox 360 version)

There’s so much more here than in the previous game that it can take a while to note what is lost. Gone, for instance, is the tight control on story as well as maximized use of combat scenarios. Also, I’m not sure this story needed to be as brutal as it is (I am still shocked this did not receive an M rating). What’s gained here, though, might be more appreciable to most than what “Asylum” gave us: a sense of how Batman moves and works in proper city limits. Undeniably flawed, but what’s here is great, grand, and bold.
